We are now looking for an experienced Controller. This is a rare opportunity to work for one of the best, most respected businesses around. Interested candidates should have some combination of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience and significant experience in the construction industry. The ultimate success of the position is measured by managing and insuring the integrity of accounting functions in the areas of payroll, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, financial reporting and all system related functions. This position is essentially responsible for most back-office functions that allow our project teams to focus on the construction.

Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline) is preferred. Additional skills required would be IT administration, HR, Benefits Management and Risk Management (including contract review and corporate insurance).

Responsibilities of the Controller:
• Manage and supervise all day-to-day accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, and GL, transactional accounting, as well as job cost accounting, revenue recognition and reporting.
• Strive for continual improvement in accounting and transactional processes. Develop and implement policies to streamline financial institution accounting procedures.
• Prepare timely financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of timely regulatory reporting.
• Cash management responsibility including forecasting and reporting, managing disbursements, and assisting in collections.
• Develop and document business processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Preparation of annual review of financial statements and tax return preparation.
• Supervise, mentor and develop an accounting staff.
• Flexibility to take on other duties as needed/recognized.
